Important: Type A - upon initial application has approximately 90% adhesion upon, and 100% adhesion after only 1 hour. Type B - upon initial application has approximately 50% adhesion and 100% adhesion after 24 hours.Tear-Aid type B has a new, unique adhesive that resists the oils in vinyl that causes other adhesives to turn gummy and soften in sunlight. Both Type A and Type B Tear-Aid patch repair kits have the same adhesion capability, although Type A will feel extremely sticky compared to Type B. Type B takes longer to have 100% adhesion because it moves into the microscopic pores of vinyl so to adhere to more surface. It's very important not to pick at Type B in the first 24 Hrs because it will pull off easier until it has cured. Initial adhesion of Type B is generally high enough for immediate use of repaired product, however. ![]()
